I wish I could find ALL the hits of the 80's on one easy to find CD!

If commercials have taught me anything, it's that I can grab an item right out of someone's grocery cart and have an informative conversation about said item.
"oh I notice you have a hacksaw. I used to buy hacksaws, but got tired of them breaking when sawing through bone."
*silence*
*blank hopeful stare back*
"uh, yeah I used to have that problem too, but then I got the pro-saw 3000. It works great in all conditions and the blade is guaranteed to never rust!"
"never rust?? that's amazing! Where did you find it?"
"Well this is the last one, but I have another in the back of my van..."

Tonight I'm taking my spawn to see Star Wars in 3D.  I'm expecting it to be crowded, which I'm not a fan of, but it is what it is and I know this will make him super happy.  Let's just hope the predicted snow doesn't ruin everything.

Also, if you've been reading my blog for a while now, you might notice that most of them have disappeared.  While I will still post my balls to the wall posts, some of those past posts were very personal about real people and real drama.  I will still continue to write whatever I feel, but perhaps names will change to protect the innocent and I'm not going through 7 years of posts to change names so now they're just hidden.  It's just one of those things that needed to happen since I'm linking accounts and getting my blog more public.

Bones!

Since I'm short on time today, I'd like to show off the calendar I have next to my desk.

It's my Star Trek calendar.  January is of Captain Kirk.  The calendar is full of the actor's birthdays.  For example:  Tomorrow is DeForest "Bones" Kelley's birthday.  He also happens to be my favorite character.
Happy Star Trekking everybody!

Monosyllabic pod people.

Made myself giggle while trying to sing monosyllabically...
In the town where I was born.  Lived a man, who sailed to sea.  And he told us of his life in the land of....boats?
I've decided to make wishes on people.  It's generally too bright where I live to star watch and I'm really not one who enjoys the outdoors with all of the bugs and nature and what not.  So I have a slim to none chance of seeing any shooting stars on which to wish. Therefore I'm going to wish on shooting star type people.  Basically anything extraordinary out of place.  Ever actually seen anyone with a peg leg at the supermarket?  Me either, but if and when I do, I'm making a wish.    A group of pygmies at TGIFridays - it's wish time.  Elvira wearing pastels - well, make a quick wish then run away fast.  Chances are she's a pod person now and you don't want to be next. The argument could be made that these are already dreams that have come true.  It's true, but it's like a double rainbow, sometimes magic just happens.
